Getting in the same server

The reliable path is friends-join: one player launches Bumpy Flight, then invites the crew from the Roblox game page or in-game player list. Servers hold 20 players, and popular hours fill them — a private server, if you can host one, removes the fill-strangers problem entirely.

Playing in a random public server works too — but a coordinated pair beats a lobby of twenty strangers filming the chaos, every time.

Assigning roles

Assign in this order: pilot first (the player with the steadiest hands), engineer second (the one who reads prompts), cabin crew with what's left. Decide before the baggage room — mid-flight role negotiation is how wipes happen.

The pilot's contract: never leave the controls. Not for fires, not for photos. Every wipe story from experienced crews starts with an empty pilot seat.

The three callouts

Crews that talk in specifics survive; crews that shout in general don't. Agree on three callouts before takeoff:

  • "Engine left/right" — which engine the prompt names, so the engineer moves once, not twice
  • "Cabin or wings" — which half of a cold event needs the next item
  • "Descending now" — so the cabin sits and nobody is mid-delivery at touchdown

Handoffs

Most co-op failures are handoff failures: two players on one job, zero on the other. The rule that fixes it: finish one action, say it's done, then take the next — and the pilot never takes a handoff that empties the controls.

When two events fire together, the pilot names the order: aircraft first, passengers second. A dead crew serves nobody.

Crew sizes

Two players is pilot + floater, and the floater's discipline is everything. Three adds a dedicated engineer, turning repairs from panic to routine. Four splits cabin from supplies so the engineer never leaves a warning unattended.

Above four, extra players are extra hands for the same tasks — fun, chaotic, and no faster unless they take real roles.

Crew XP economics

XP pays per flight, and crews complete far more flights than solo players because emergencies that end solo runs are routine for a crew with roles. If your group's goal is levels, the fastest route is the crew size that keeps your routes landing — not the biggest crew you can fill.
