What Bumpy Flight is

Bumpy Flight is a co-op aviation game on Roblox. You and up to 19 other players in a server operate a commercial flight end to end: load the bags, board the passengers, fuel the aircraft, fly the route, answer whatever chaos the sky throws at you, and land. Complete flights pay XP and coins; levels unlock aircraft and cosmetics.

The game is in beta — it launched in July 2026 and updates weekly. Expect bugs and unfinished features, and expect the details on this site to carry dates because numbers move with updates.

The TASKS panel is the whole game

The TASKS panel on the left of your screen is the flight's scoreboard, and it does not let you skip: the plane will not leave the ground until the ground work is done. The loop reads, top to bottom:

  • Load the bags into the plane (counter varies by aircraft, 0/4 or 0/6 in current footage)
  • Board all passengers from the terminal lounge
  • Refuel the plane to 100
  • Take off
  • Land (safely...)

Ground phase one: bags and fuel

Start in the terminal baggage room. Carry suitcases from the shelves to the luggage truck, drive the truck around to the aircraft, then toss the bags into the cargo hold at the plane's rear — they auto-stick, so don't walk each one into place.

Refuel at the aircraft's fuel port until the gas panel reads 100. This is a hard gate: the takeoff task stays locked until it's full. Do fuel while passengers board in a crew — in solo, bags first, then fuel, then boarding keeps the loop tight.

Ground phase two: boarding

Passengers wait in the airport lounge beside the plane door. Walk to them to start boarding, then lead them to the aircraft — and keep your path clean, because NPC passengers follow the trail you walked, not your current position. Jumping or backtracking scrambles them; walking smoothly doesn't.

If a passenger stalls mid-route, wait at the plane rather than running back — they re-trace the path on their own. This single habit converts most "my game is broken" moments into a slightly slower boarding.

Takeoff

In the cockpit, hold Shift to build speed along the runway. When the plane feels light, tap W to lift the nose — a tap, not a hold. Climb shallowly to altitude; a steep early climb is how new pilots meet the stall mechanic.

Remember what Ctrl does before you need it: it cuts throttle and unlocks your mouse. If you tap it mid-takeoff to grab the mouse, you also cut power — check the throttle before you wonder why the nose is sinking.

Your first emergencies

Above a few hundred feet the game starts rolling events: turbulence shaking the aircraft, cold snaps frosting the wings, passengers needing blankets or Medicine, power outages needing the wrench, and — the worst — engine failures in weather.

The survival order is always the same: whoever flies keeps flying. Whoever answers the prompt does exactly one action. The wipe scenarios come from everyone abandoning the controls at once; the landings come from a crew that splits and talks.

Landing and the payout

Start descending early, cut throttle in steps, and line up with the runway visually before the airport signage appears. Arriving high and fast is the number one landing-killer in every guide and video reviewed for this one.

A completed flight pays XP and coins; a crashed one pays nothing but the same ten-to-fifteen minutes. That asymmetry is the whole strategy of Bumpy Flight: the safest slow flight always out-earns the fastest crash.

FAQ

Bumpy Flight Beginner Guide: Your First Complete Flight FAQ

How long is one Bumpy Flight flight?

Roughly 10-15 minutes for a complete run including ground work, based on community footage. Failed runs burn the same clock but pay nothing, which is why early descents and clean events matter more than raw speed.

Can I play Bumpy Flight solo?

Yes — start a flight from the CREATE FLIGHT menu. Solo runs work by doing one thing at a time: stabilize the plane, complete the single action the prompt names, then return to the controls.

What happens when you crash?

YOU DIED / NO SURVIVORS screens and the run ends with no payout. Jumping out of the plane is not an escape — the aircraft keeps flying pilotless and crashes anyway.
