Once you are airborne, Bumpy Flight rolls scripted emergencies that turn a routine route into chaos — the official description promises "every flight can turn into complete chaos." Events appear as on-screen prompts and warnings, and most have a matching item in the cabin or a repair tool somewhere on the aircraft.
The golden rule across every event: one player, one action. The plane still needs someone flying while the crew answers the prompt, and the wipe scenarios always start with everybody leaving the controls at once.

The cold chain has two halves. Frozen wings outside need the IceScraper — grab it from supplies, walk out onto the wing, and clear the ice. Passengers shivering inside need a Blanket handed to them, and the coldest ones who ask for it need Medicine.
Both halves matter: clearing the wings protects the aircraft, while the blankets keep the COMFORT meter from collapsing. An all-cabin response to an all-wing problem is how runs fail with everyone busy.
Turbulence asks the pilot for restraint, not action: hold altitude with tiny taps and let the plane shake. Every large correction during turbulence becomes a new problem to fix.
Storms are the same discipline with worse weather. Fly through gently, and once clear, check for damage prompts — a storm that knocks out an engine while doors pop open is the classic wipe scenario described by experienced crews, because it demands flying, repair, and cabin control simultaneously.
When cabin systems go dark, the fix is the power box at the rear of the aircraft with the wrench. Dedicated gameplay footage shows the repair loop plainly: grab the wrench, reach the box, hold the repair, return to your station.
Solo players should do exactly this in the slow order — stabilize the plane first, then leave the seat, repair, and get back to the controls. Nothing in the game requires fixing two things at once.
An engine failure warning means one engine is damaged and repairable. Identify which engine the prompt names, take the wrench to it, and keep the working engine steady in the meantime.
With a crew, the pilot flies while someone else repairs — that split is the entire point of the co-op design. With nobody flying, the aircraft drifts into terrain long before the repair finishes.
Use one priority order: stabilize the aircraft, identify the active prompt, complete the necessary repair, then resume passenger care. A dead crew serves nobody, and every ending screen — YOU DIED, NO SURVIVORS — burns the same ten-to-fifteen minutes for zero progress.
Bailing out is not an escape either: the plane keeps flying without a pilot and ends in a crash. Landing the plane, even ugly, is the only win condition.

Six event families have been observed across gameplay footage so far: ice, passenger discomfort, turbulence, storms, power outage, and engine failure. The game is in beta and the developers keep adding events, so this list grows with updates.
Take the wrench from the aircraft supplies, reach the power box at the rear of the plane, and complete the repair prompt. In solo play, level and stabilize the plane before you leave the seat.
Nothing good. The aircraft keeps flying without a pilot and ends in a crash with the crew gone. Staying aboard and landing is the only way a flight completes.
